In 2007, the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) aired a segment as their weekly Monday night wrestling program RAW went off the air, where McMahon's character was killed in a limousine explosion. However, the planned storyline took a tragic turn when the real-life death of professional wrestler Chris Benoit occurred shortly after. How does this all relate to the internet? For four decades the mystery behind the identity of The Golden State killer became the obsession of many True-Crime fans and amateur sleuths. Even after the arrest of Joeseph Deangelo in 2018 and his subsequent conviction, questions still linger. One that many still have, is whether the killer himself was an active member of some of the message boards and online groups dedicated to unmasking him.
