In 2018 I had the honour to sit down with Horia Velicu, head of the Innovation LAB at BRD in Bucharest.
Horia has a diverse background, always mixing computer science and finance and later in his career this job appeared and he decided to take the challenge further.
BRD is part of the Société General Group which is a French bank that is present in over 65 countries with over 32 million customers.
In Romania, the Bank has over 2 million customers
Horia shared some of the main initiatives that he is responsible for such as collaboration with universities, fintech, startups, prototyping new potential projects to be deployed at a larger scale;
