Tom and Billy Failing (the banjoist in Billy Strings and Billy Failing Band) discuss the current state of affairs, banjo pickups and effect pedals, technique, banjo 'purity', wrong notes, and more.

Tom recalls the first Heli-Mount prototype and how the iconic frame has changed over the years.  Also, he notes the manufacturing differences between the original cast Heli-Mount and the new all-machined "Excelsior".
