We Wunt Be Druv. The return of Lewes Bonfire in 2021
"We wunt be druv" is the unofficial county motto of Sussex meaning "we will not be driven", asserting that people from the English county of Sussex have minds of their own, and cannot be forced against their will or told what to do. Each year, this motto is doused in petrol and displayed ablaze, held high with pride in the processions on the 5th of November. But in 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic meant that Bonfire was cancelled for the first time since the Second World War. Against the will of Lewesians and Sussexians alike, there were no fires light nor bangers thrown. Instead on the 5th of November 2020 everyone was ordered to stay inside and listen to the silence that took its place. BUT never fear, as Bonfire Night returns this November 2021 with an extra loud BANG, tune in to this short where Billie speaks with local townspeople out on the streets about what Bonfire means to them and how they are feeling in anticipation of the return of the biggest event of the Lewes Calendar.

Love With Nowhere to Go - An AudioZine on Grief

One thing that is for sure, is that grief is part of life. And so here, artists and big thinkers explore ways in which that is true. This is an attempt to help us feel, in grief, that little bit more human. Project Manager/Producer: Billie Eliot. Music Directors and Composers: Gabriella Biazotti and Holly Sibley.
