Former Brisbane Roar defender Cameron Crestani joins Bon's Backyard to talk about his footballing journey from the small country town of Stanthorpe (QLD) to the A-League.

Cameron is Stanthorpe's proudest export from the passionate footballing town. After spending 4 years in the Brisbane Roar youth system, Crestani made his debut for the senior team during the 2016/17 season, earning starts in the A-League and the Asian Champions League.

He shares his journey from playing football in the backyard with his four football-mad brothers, and sacrificing his education to travel to Brisbane four days a week to realise his professional sporting dream.

Camo candidly shares a whole raft of interesting yarns from his career including: a serious heart condition nearly forced him out of the game, when he nearly killed the two of us in a car accident and how close he was to pursuing a career in the AFL.
