Gaslighting एक मॉडर्न शब्द है - जब कोई व्यक्ति आपकी  भावनाओ या आपकी असलियत तो जुठला दे, और आप अपने पर ही शक करने लगें की क्या आप वैसे ही हैं जैसा वह बता रहे हैं | ये शब्द एक हॉलीवुड मूवी  से आया है - उस मूवी में एक आदमी अपनी पत्नी को इस तरह से वहम में दाल देता है की वह सोचने लगती है की वह ही पागल है | इस तरह से कोई जानबूझ करता  है या अनजाने में उनसे ऐसा होता है,  यह  जानना काफी मुश्किल है | पर उनका ऐसा करने का कारन आप के ऊपर अधिकार ज़माने का होता है, या आप को अपने हिसाब से चलने का |  

Gaslighting is a modern word - when someone confuses your feelings or your reality, and you start to doubt yourself, whether you are the same as he/she is telling you. The word has come from a Hollywood movie - in that movie a man gaslights his wife in such a way that she starts thinking that she is crazy. Someone does it consciously or unconsciously, it is very difficult to tell. But their reason for doing this is to have authority over you or control you as they want.

हिंदी में Narcissism का कोई सही शब्द नहीं है। हम इसे अहंकार कह सकते हैं पर वह बहुत अस्पष्ट शब्द है हमारे इस तरह के व्यहवहार को समझने के  लिए |  यह उन व्यवहार लक्षणों में से एक है जो हमारे समाज में हर जगह दिखाई देता है । बहुत से लोग किसी Narcissistic व्यक्ति के करीब होने से पीड़ित हैं, या तो आजीवन या फिर जीवन के कुछ हिस्से में । यह Podcast ऐसे व्यक्ति की प्रमुख विशेषताओं को समझने के लिए है। ताकि कम से कम - आप अपना आत्मविश्वास और आशा खो कर पीड़ित न हों। आप किसी का व्यवहार नहीं बदल सकते हैं लेकिन आप स्पष्ट रूप से अपना बचने का रास्ता ढूंढ सकते हैं

There is no perfect word for Narcissism in Hindi. It is one of the behavior traits which is visible all through our society. Many people suffer from being close to a Narcissistic person, all of their life or some part of their life. This podcast is meant for understanding the key characteristics of such a person. So that at least you don't suffer by losing your confidence and hope. You may not change someone's behavior but you obviously create your escape routes.
