17 - Brentley Romine on Covering the College and Amateur Game
Brentley Romine joins Jim to discuss his career covering primarily the college and amateur game for Golf Channel and NBC Sports. Brentley discusses the growing interest in both men's and women's amateur golf, and how that growth was jeopardized after the NCAA season got off to a bumpy start with the failed transition to Spikemark for live scoring and rankings. The NCAA regionals are set and the season wraps up later this month with a new host site, Omni La Costa in Southern California.
In Angle of Attack (1:21:55), Andrew and Jim discuss 'qualifier season' and how a qualifier mindset differs from normal tournament mindset and strategy.
