Ep 10. The Reality of Being a Single Mom (with Bre‪)‬ The Mom Break Podcast ©

    • Parenting

Today, Bre joins us to talk about her experience moving across the country, 32 weeks pregnant, and starting her life as a single month is a different city.
For the first time, she’s sharing talking about:

Escaping a toxic relationship Uprooting her life and moving across the country
Dating as a single mom
Finding love again
Raising a newborn without support

A bit about Bre:
Social worker, Bre, never thought she’d be a single mother. At 34 weeks pregnant, she left a toxic relationship and the west coast, and delivered my sweet girl with my mom and a friend. The nights were long, the days were longer. Dating with a newborn was weird. Often in the thick of it, she wondered why is this my life? She felt lonely, overwhelmed and ashamed, as if being a single mom meant that she didn’t fit the mould of what a normal parent should be. Her and her daughter were a mommy daughter team from the moment she found out she was pregnant. She knew that she would protect her and sacrifice anything for her.
