In this extended episode, we speak with three seasonal agricultural workers who will let us in on just what it is like to live on some Canadian farms. We touch base with our Spanish language dramaturge Daniela Atiencia on translating for the podcast, her experience being bilingual, and what it means to create art that is multilingual. Also on this episode, host Pedro Chamale and composer Mishelle Cuttler hangout with Ray Alegria who compose the music for Esclavitud Moderna.

Where does our food come from? Who grows it? Who is nourished by it? Made in Canada: an agricultural podcast goes in-depth to illustrate the issues surrounding Canada’s migrant workers. We speak with activist, artist and experts on the Seasonal Agricultural Program in Canada and the injustices faced by the folks who ensure that Canadian stores, famers markets and plates have food. Working as a companion podcast to Made in Canada: an agricultural song cycle, we also go behind the mic for the creation of each song on the album week by week.
