Former Elmhurst U Educator & Marching Illini Director Pete Griffin is Composed with the LowDown Crew
Dr. Peter Griffin, retired Chair of the Elmhurst University Music Department, shares his musical journey from a young music student to stints as an educator at two different Big 10 schools. At one point in his career, Dr. Griffin was the director of one of the most prestigious college marching bands in the Nation, the Marching Illini. His path eventually led him to a rewarding stint at Elmhurst U, where he was able to use some of his administrative skills learned earlier in his career. Pete also shares the story of his late brother, Drew, who was instrumental in breaking some very big and important stories as chief investigative correspondent with CNN.
