    • Spirituality

In this episode of finding grace I am joined by my dear friend Kara Ford also known as “kara Leigh ceramics”.  Kara is a potter, author of Pottery for beginners and a teacher and host of “Kara’s pottery club”.
Kara and I grew up together I couldn’t be more excited and proud to share her on here.
In this episode:
Kara shares what finding grace means to her, how she relates to and what it means in terms of the journey she’s been on.  She shares her story from growing up creative, then getting a job in the corporate world to taking a leap of faith leaving this and starting a pottery business that became successful. We discuss imposter syndrome, how its affected her and how she’s worked through it and navigates this now.  She shares her advice for someone wanting to take the leap and follow their heart with what they want to do. We talk perfectionism and her journey with it. She shares how she deals with things going wrong with her pots and why she shares this to show how even when things looks perfect on the outside.  She shares how she’s had to use her discernment over the years as she became more successful. We talk all about her new book, what its about, how it happened and the journey she went on with it. How she navigated the writing process being dyslexic. We discuss how she navigates the struggles of running a solo business. She shares how she had to regain work life balance and how she came to realise the importance of this, We discuss the importance of doing things that bring you joy outside of work. She shares the best piece of advice she’s been given. We talk all about the pottery club she created and how this came about. She shares all about the course she created. Kara shares all of this and so much more, it shows how you can have a dream about doing something and you can take the leap to make it happen.
We had so much fun recording this, we hope you enjoy this.
