Today we continue our 8-week series in the book of 1 Peter. We saw last Sunday that God was/is at work to save us and sanctify us (conform us to the image of Christ).

Today we will see in 1 Peter 1:13 - 2:3 that as a result of God's work, we are to "Live as Strangers" in this world. We are citizens of heaven with a different set of values and priorities than this world.

Over the years, there have been many attempts at explaining how followers of Jesus are supposed to give back to God. Give 10% to the church, tithe/offerings to "God's storehouse," or even "God will bless you twofold if you give money to the church!" What does the Bible actually say about giving back to God?
