This is normally a very boring, complicated topic prone to misinterpretation. I’m going to do you a favor and simplify it for you. 

Please keep in mind that I am NOT CHERRY PICKING THE EVIDENCE HERE. 

Some of what I’m going to say supports the left or the right. I don’t give a shit what you think about the economy, 

I care only about what is true...so, I’ll try not to interject opinion here, but the evidence I’ll list is not the best fruit chosen from a basket of cherries.

Let me tell you what this is not.

It is not me speaking from a position of authority.

This is not me trying to convince stupid people not to vote for Trump. I don’t care who the stupid people vote for...I care who YOU vote for.

This is not me calling you stupid. You’re demonstrably not stupid. You may be a little gullible, you were certainly made a fool of if you voted for Trump in 2016, but you’re not a dummy.

This is not propaganda.

This is not going to be a screeching rant.

This is not completely my opinion...I’ll give you my opinions, but I’m only going to deal with facts here. Verifiable facts that you can look up yourself.

This is not a rambling diatribe.

And lastly: this is not a podcast. That’s not to say I have a problem with podcasts, I like them...I listen to a much of them...I even host one on another website.

Here’s what this is.

This is an attempt to speak to you, with respect and tell you why you must not vote for Trump...or even support Trump...or even like Trump.

This is evidence. Overwhelming evidence. Evidence that you can think about when you have time. Evidence that you can review, challenge, get angry and frustrated at, tell your friends about, laugh or cry about. This is evidence. Evidence is proof. Evidence is not an opinion. Evidence doesn’t give a shit about you, or me, or Trump or anything. Evidence just IS.

This is my attempt at changing your heart and mind.

I’m not going to make a big deal out of this, although the topic is big. Some might say the topic is BIGLY...but only stupid people talk that way.

Who I am doesn’t matter. Who I was might.

I was once a registered republican. I once listened to and agreed with Rush Limbaugh.

Hello, my name is Steve and I was once a Ditto Head.

Why am I no longer a member of the republican party?
How do I know that Donald Trump is a disgusting human being and a moron?
Why am I certain that he must be stopped?

Evidence. Overwhelming evidence.

Here’s what I need you to do. It’s easy: I need you to think for yourself.

I want to change your heart and mind. Do not misunderstand me:
I’m not here to stop you from voting for Trump.
Vote for whomever you want, that’s up to you.

What I am here to do is present you with evidence and ask you to open your heart and mind.

This is a fight, but the fight is not for you to vote the way I vote, or to believe in any of the things that I belive. This is a fight for your heart and mind so that, if I’m successful you’ll be able to stand tall and honestly say that you considered all of the evidence and gave it some serious thought.

If, once you’ve done that you still want to vote for Trump...then that’s okay. I don’t think you’re stupid. I don’t think you’re hateful. I don’t think you’re a coward.

Trump is all of these things. He lied to you. He lies every day. I have evidence. You have been duped. I know that sucks, I know how that feels. Mega dittos.

So, when we’re done here and if you feel that it doesn’t matter how stupid, hateful and frightened Trump is about everything - then you be you.

I will disagree with you, but I won’t disrespect you or hate you.

This is not me speaking from a position of authority.

This is me speaking from a position of mindfulness.

This is you listening with an open heart and mind.
