Give grief a space to exist

Give grief a space to exist

Kia ora and welcome to "Grief Centre with Indigenuity on Mondays." I use the word grief but I mean many other things. Like anger, sadness, loss, trauma, being stuck, frightened. The hole. Disassociation - disconnecting from yourself mometarily is not 'sexy' these days where everything is about vulnberability and connection. However...it's a pragmatic tool that has helped me to be able to overcome overwhelm, loss and messy situations to buy my own houses for my kids.𝘛𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺, 𝘸𝘦 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦. What was the origin of Grief Centre?

What was the origin of Grief Centre?

Aonga Ake e te whaanau. Today is Monday, we make space for our grief, anger, resentment. You know, the kind of experiences that have been holding us back on our journey. Today I discuss the origins of why I started Grief Centre on Mondays. It's probably not what you think. It was actually about how I managed to keep myself calm amongst other people's bull kaka, greed and behaviour. In particular how whaanau behaved around land, whenua, trusts and money. Paru, sad, bad behaviour.

I discuss how being stuck looked in my experience and the approach that has given some peace for my whaanau.

Cultivating Hope within yourself is an abundant source

Cultivating Hope within yourself is an abundant source

Every property I've ever bought, the finance journey was filled with 9 x NO, and 1 x Yes right at the end. This is normal. Practise Hope so that you don't give up. It's a skill and a virtue.

Today we delve into the concept of cultivating hope within yourself. Let's explore the practices, tools, and perspectives that allow us to nurture and foster hope. In terms of homeownership and whenua, you need hope. Lots of it, because often the process feels like it is always a 'NO'. Will you consider retraining yourself to see NO as - Not Yet.

    🟡 Hope is a practise
🌼 You can rewire your self to feel hopeful
🟡 To feel hopeful, try thinking of yourself when you were little. Visualise give you, what you needed to feel hopeful and joyful.

+ Try acting with compassion to yourself; kind to the version of you that needs to hear warm words of encouragement. Visualise and physicalise kindness to you.

Tune in to the weekly podcast, like a midweek cup of tea with ourselves.

    Inherited Mamae from Tūpuna

    Inherited Mamae from Tūpuna

Our Tūpuna (ancestors) carry their own mamae (grief), and sometimes we inherit a portion of it. Today, we explore the mamae we've inherited and how it impacts our lives. By acknowledging and understanding this inheritance, we can embark on a journey of healing and liberation.
