I did an “oops”, backwards step of who I am for the past several months. Someone shared a great quote with me today, sometimes I understand quotes that are given to me by people and other times, they go over my head because they are a bit too deep.
Today wasn’t that day, in fact, did you ever get an “ah ha” quote or something in an email, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or wherever? I did, today.

Well, I am blessed to have my mother alive in my life. Today, during our conversation I told her about a quote I received. It read something like this ‘HOW WRONG IS IT FOR A WOMAN TO EXPECT THE MAN TO BUILD THE WORLD SHE WANTS, RATHER THAN TO CREATE IT HERSELF?”
OUCH! This one nailed it! It nailed me good. My mother, born in South Carolina and from a strong faith background told me, she grew up with the man being the head of the house hold, hence, that is what I grew up with.
However, I might be getting a bit too deep with this, but we both agreed, as women, we need to build the world we want and create what we want. My mother expressed the importance of my life and the direction I was heading into again, I was falling backwards. She said, we women need to be sounding boards for eachother, we have awesome ideas and the group of women we choose to be around should build up our confidence and push us to ‘INSPIRE TO BELIEVE IN MYSELF AS A WOMAN”.

I’ve got to tell you, I’m a bit afraid of stepping forward especially into the unknown, but one thing I know, we women do stick together, whether you have a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, or daughter, we are there to encourage and confide our inner dreams and thoughts. Like our high heels, we lift and elevate our minds.

I want to “Get Going Girls”. Today my family celebrates Easter and one of the family traditions is looking for Easter Eggs. It is a fun time with the children and I will be wearing these awesome high heels because they feel great, they are fun to wear and of course my first pair of open toe.

I am at the Healing Garden at The Cancer Center in Harford County. This particular day was my dads last day of receiving Chemo treatment. We are already Enjoying Life With Style because when I picked my dad up this morning, I was wearing my high heels and he gets the biggest kick our of me wearing them and I love to see him smile.
While at The Cancer Center today I met a volunteer named Janet, she comes everyday to take care of cancer patients and gives them the support they need. I admire her for the positive energy and outlook of life she has. Janet and I began to talk about my website and how we women are inspired by each other. She made me feel great because I came with my dad and we talked about how precious life is. Janet touched my heart because of her warm and caring ways she shares with everyone.
I love to hear people’s stories and their outlook in life, the strengths and perseverance gives encouragement to everyone that needs a little “lift” in their day.
After my dads treatment, my dad, sister and I celebrated by going to his favorite bagel shop to get him a bagel with cream cheese and lox. Enjoying Life With Style is what it’s all about every day especially when I can sport around in a pair of high heels, but most of all, the celebration of life and the support my family has given to my dad.

Ladies/Girls, doesn’t it feel great when we order something in the mail and it gets delivered? I know I do especially when I buy a pair of high heels. When I look at online high heel sites, I really take the time to look at the high heels, the style, color, design and my attitude of what it would feel like when I try it on for the first time.
When I got these “LFL Energy” high heels delivered the other day, I opened the box and of course I was hoping they would fit. In fact, they did slip on perfectly and I was thrilled!!
When I slipped these on, I felt like I could conquer the world! Since red is a sign of “power”, I felt Empowered, I felt confident with the height of the heel and decided to make these the high heel of the week. So this week I will definitely wear them over and over.

Today I want to share with you ENHANCE SELF WORTH. Ways of Self Worth for me is something so simple as a "smile". I’ve looked around lately, and everything seems at times serious, day to day events may not bring happiness, trust me I have my bumps in the road but something as simple as me smiling makes me feel encouraged within myself, my heart and soul seem to get a “pick me up” . People are drawn to my smile I guess because I make others feel warm and comfortable.

As you can see, I’m on my front porch, its one of my three happy places to be in life. I feel enhanced with myself because of my faith, God has given me another day to be grateful, I’m enhancing my self worth by the simple fact of being alive and smiling within my heart. Life is great for those who choose to live it.
Ladies, as I wear my high heels, I really do smile because I’m ENHANCING MY SELF WORTH and feeling grateful with those that are in my life that love and believe in me. Mostly, I’m encouraged with who I am.

Ladies, first let me share this awesome Cupid high Heel AGAIN because its getting great views by everyone and they push me to GET GOING in so many ways. I wore them yesterday taking my car to the car wash and the girls that dry the car loved them and I shared with them my brief story about getting them in NC with my daughter.

Ladies, I’m so excited because we all need to have that special someone in our lives to help us out. Weather its you husband, mother, sister, or friend to help you GET GOING! I’ve been so blessed to have many special people in my life and I am so grateful to them.

I want to share something about myself, I can get a bit overwhelmed when I have to complete a project. Right now I’m in the process of getting my little cottage together and a dear friend has helped me tremendously. In fact, she even recruited her husband and son to help on the “manly” things. When I find that sisterhood and a true connection of friendship with other women, it helps to push me to GET GOING, stop getting overwhelmed because all I have to do, is let go, ask for help and appreciate my friendships.
My friend is a decorator, designer, jack of all trades who promotes her family values along the way and I love being around women that have that confidence of pushing themselves even when they don’t want to.
Bottom line ladies, when I wear my high heels, think about and realizing how blessed I am to have special people in my life, I become even more grateful than ever.
So if you ever see me out and about and I’m just smiling, its because I realize I am loved and it elevates me to a level of self confidence.
