Footprint 19: Solo Ramblings - Let's Be Honest about - Bowel and bladder endometriosis excision surgery & a total hysterectomy
Hey,
It’s been 10 months! I am so sorry! I celebrated a special birthday in July last year. I felt like I had a couple of weeks of respite and sunshine and then life took a bit of a turn in Autumn last year.
This is a solo ramblings episode, following my update in June 2023. I had shared an update of my recovery and rehabilitation journey from diaphragmatic repair and the peri-menopause symptoms I’d noticed building up more severely the year before.
In this episode I talk about what happened since the last episode in June last year and update you on my hormone results in July, my MRI, new consultant and subsequently another major surgery (count 7).
You can read more about my conditions and surgeries in my blog: â https://www.lbhlifestyle.co.uk/my-blog this will bring you up to date.

Footprint 18: Solo Ramblings - Let's Be Honest about - Diaphragmatic surgery long term recovery, rehabilitation and perimenopause
Hey,
I promised I wouldn't leave it so long between recordings, it's been just over a month. Lots of rehabilitation, core strengthening and consistent steps in the right direction.
This episode is a throwback to a raw, real and genuine style of recording, from my car, on record, whilst I drive to hydrotherapy. Throwing back to September 2020, Cornwall road trip vibes. Apologies in advance for the poor quality audio and background noise.
This is a solo ramblings episode, following my update in April 2023. I shared my results from an MRI and dynamic ultrasound showing 50% reduced muscle mass in my right side torso (where I have had several lung and diaphragm surgeries) and lack of movement on the right causing severe pain, breathlessness and fatigue.
I talk about my physio and hydrotherapy plans, pacing and my phased return to work in May. Pacing hasn't been easy between rehab, work and life. My physio, consultant and GP are making changes, adjusting and trying new things to drive my recovery and progress forwards.
You can read more about my conditions and surgeries in my blog: https://www.lbhlifestyle.co.uk/my-blog this will bring you up to date.

Footprint 17: Solo Ramblings - Let's Be Honest about - Lung Surgery Recovery - 2 Years Later
Hey,
LBH here! It’s been a whole year since I last recorded a solo ramblings episode (10 months since my guest podcast with Chantelle Burson).
It’s now Spring 2023. The sun is shining the UK (3rd April 2023). This is a solo ramblings episode, an update just over a two years from my major surgery during the pandemic related to thoracic/diaphragmatic endometriosis.
I talk about my return to full time work, striving for balance, starting to get my life back after hydrotherapy in 2021/2022, followed by my second bout of Covid 19 and the news that followed in January 2023 following an MRI and dynamic ultrasound.
This should bring you up to date!

Hi All,
I am excited to announce my first Guest podcast episode of series 3. Series 3 puts a spotlight on Endometriosis, Adenomyosis and Invisible Illness.

Quote of the pod - “A soul that carries empathy is a soul that has survived enormous pain” Jam Alker
My guest this episode is Chantelle Burson, Endometriosis & adenomyosis awareness warrior.
Chantelle is a photographer, she studied Interior Design and is from Auckland, New Zealand. She lives with her son Isaac who is 5 years old.
I love Chantelle’s determination and motivation to continue on throughout all she has been through. She is a true endo warrior. Chantelle has lived with Scoliosis (since the age of 14) alongside endometriosis and adenomyosis.
Chantelle uses her creativity to share her story and educate others in the endometriosis community to understand more about their illness and how to get diagnosis.

Hey all!
LBH here! It’s been a whole year since I last recorded an episode.
It’s now Spring 2022. The sun is nowhere to be seen in the UK - It’s raining - heavily! This is a solo ramblings episode, a view just over a year from surgery about my recovery from lung surgery for thoracic/diaphragmatic endometriosis.
I talk about some of the different things I tried for pain management over the last year. Different types of physio including musculoskeletal, pelvic floor and hydrotherapy, a paravertebral nerve block, capsicum cream and various different medications. A new diagnosis (yes another I hear you cry!). Chronic Vestibular Migraines and my treatment so far.
LBH is back :)

Footprint 14: Solo Ramblings - Let's Be Honest about - Pain, Surgery & Recovery
Hi Guys!
Lockdown 3.0 is slowly lifting in the UK as I record this podcast episode. The sun is shining, and we are able to meet friends & loved ones outside. This is a solo ramblings episode update about my unexpected lung surgery for my thoracic/diaphragmatic endometriosis and my road to recovery. I spent 4.5 days in ICU following open surgery to remove my thoracic endometriosis during the Covid 19 pandemic. The nurses, doctors and surgeon were incredible and made me feel safe and looked after. I was unable to have any visitors due to C-19 but I never felt alone.
I have included some tips for items to bring into hospital (these can work for any surgery), tips for recovery when you're back at home and some fancy medical terminology that i've learn over the past 8 weeks ;).
I am not a medical professional, so views and experiences are my own. Please consult a medical professional or healthcare provider for any medical advice, diagnosis or treatment options.
