That's how a new era was born

    Nuova era

    Nuova era

    A new era started off from the year 2020 AD,
    The course of mankind changed drastically,
    The forests were aflame,
    There were less animals left for mankind to tame;

    The death of a supreme leader of a land and few explosions, that could have assisted in the third great war,
    There were many reasons to fight for,
    Climate was changing it's colours like a chameleon,
    Darkness was creeping in with no light of neon;

    The borders, that divided the world decades ago,
    Were just enough to fill mankind with malice and, in humanity , make their faiths forgo;

    Mankind thought it could overpower the world and nature,
    It was at that moment, when nature gave a grim reminder to mankind and it's wrong conjecture;

    A disease that spread like wildfire,
    With no cure, mankind's false pride and ignorance just acted as it's amplifier,
    As nature started correcting it's course,
    Man realised that it now had a common foe in force,
    It just took a foe with some microns,
    To unite the world which was fighting over miles of border with their weapons;

    People who looked down upon the poor and the outsiders,
    Were now their means and help providers,
    The ones fighting over the name of their respective Gods and their religion,
    Now recognised only one God, that was nature, and death as his legion,
    Their homes and beloved ones, which so far they'd been taking for granted,
    Now only longed to spend a lifetime with them, if a last wish to them was granted;

    As humans couldn't cope up with nature's confrontation,
    They were made to go into hibernation,
    As they fell back into their homes, the rivers, oceans, forests, mountains and air started to glow back again,
    Animals once again enjoyed the radiant nature, as ceased the human disdain;

    It took sacrifices of tens of thousands of mankind's martyrs, for nature to undergo it's correction,
    And for mankind to understand that their own inconsiderate and selfish evolution led to their devolution;

    Since then, mankind, which earlier sought power, wealth, war, exploitation of the weak, pride and supremacy,
    Now only desired peace, respect for nature and it's creations, and harmony;

    Outsiders were treated as royal guests,
    Measures to heal the wounded nature were set to tests,
    Borders were mere lines on an atlas,
    And the borders in their minds vanished and they opened their hearts to the world to clear up their own mess;

    Yes, nature had taken many lives, but those were not in vain,
    As humans began to understand each others sufferings and pain;

    The forests were abloom,
    The animals left with mankind were no more in gloom,
    That is how a new era was born,
    And the course of mankind changed and humanity got back, what it had long forgone.
