Thomas Randle yesterday won the first race of the S5000 series in Tasmania, leading from start to finish while also setting the fastest lap time. Thomas underwent further chemotherapy aross Christmas / New Year, and on Thursday announced via Twitter he'd entered remission.

Alistair Dobson joined the Breakfast Club following the Big Bash's January 26 triple-header, which saw wins for the Heat, Renegades and Sixers, and season-ending losses for the Hurricanes and Stars. The Sixers will now play the Scorchers and the Heat will play the Strikers this weekend, with the Thunder through to the last four.

Last night Brett Robinson won the final race at the Zatopek:10 meeting, winning the 10,000m race in 28:00:05. Finished ahead of Jack Rayner and Dave McNeill.

Greg Dyer; ACA Chairman, Todd Greenberg to lead Australian Cricketers' Association
Former NRL CEO Todd Greenberg has been appointed the new CEO of the ACA, replacing the departing Alistair Nicholson. Greenberg returns to his first love of cricket, having played at Grade level in Sydney and represented Australia at the Maccabi Games.

Tampa Bay on Monday won their way to their first Super Bowl since 2003, defeating Green Bay Packers 31-26. They will now become the first team to host the Bowl at their home stadium when they face Kansas City Chiefs on February 8.
