*If you haven't already, make sure to check out the edied version of this episode, which is properly structured and produced, and includes sound designs.

For  the first episode, I invited my good friend and someone who played an  important part in inspiring me to create a platform for gathering change  agents of alternative food systems.

Lucas is doing some really excellent work in meeting farmers in Latin  America and Europe, and co-creating agroecological research. He has  been doing this largely off his own back and with an interminable  spirit.

In this episode, Lucas tells us stories that came out of these  meetings. From Coca-Cola trucks taking the place of food sovereignty in  Canada to ancient grains being the site of a local food system to  fluorish in Italy, Lucas hangs a lot of his optimism for the power of  agroecology on ideas of territoriality and future imagineries.

Make sure to have a look at his project, Raíces de Soberanía.  You'll also be able to see some of the fantastic photographs that he  and his farmer participants have taken in Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, the  Netherlands and Italy.
