    • Running

TIM ROSS (AKA Rosso):
A lot of New Zealanders won’t know who Rosso is and that’s exciting- because it means you about to get to know a cool person.
In the early 2000s when Rosso and I became mates, he was part of Australia’s number 1 radio show, “The Merrick and Rosso show.”
In 2009, Rosso quit radio and since then has successfully combined his passion for comedy and architecture by doing hundreds of standup comedy shows at some of the most architecturally acclaimed houses around the world. Also he’s made a bunch of documentaries, wrote a ton of books, got married, had a family, quit booze and lost his mum- we unpack a lot of the Tim Ross journey here.
Including how he met and teamed up with his comedy partner, Merrick Watts.
Their groundbreaking stand-up act and how that became one of the most innovative and successful radio shows of all time.
We discuss some of his best A list celebrity encounters including Sylvester Stallone, Will Ferrell and David Bowie. MC-ing Sam Neills star studded 60th birthday party, impersonating Russell Crowe as an ongoing TV sketch and lots more.
Then the important stuff- losing his mum, his reflections on that time, and somehow finding beauty in the grief. And his thoughts on getting older. This is Rosso as you’ve probably never heard him before.
This episode has been bought to you thanks to Skin Institute.
It’s estimated that about 20% of all adults will get varicose veins at some point in their lives. Although they’re more common in older people, young people sometimes have them, too.
As well as age, other risk factors include family history of veins disease, being overweight, standing jobs, and pregnancy.
And despite popular belief, varicose veins is not a cosmetic complaint – if left untreated, they can lead to serious health issues.
