Why was mild-mannered, middle aged Sue Neill-Fraser convicted of murdering her partner Bob Chappell on their yacht in January 2009? It was a circumstantial case – no body, no witnesses, no weapon and no confession. Sue has always maintained her innocence and is now in her 13th year of a 23 year sentence in a Tasmanian prison. Psychologist and film producer Eve Ash jumped in at the deep end and has meticulously dissected this case for 12 years in a search for the truth. When Eve was joined by former homicide task force detective Colin McLaren the twists and turns became frightening. For everyone who believes in justice, this podcast will be a shocking eye-opener about a case destined to be Australia’s worst wrongful conviction.

Hate Listened This

This podcast just plain annoyed me.

It just felt like the same information over and over again. They seem to talk a lot about having tunnel vision of the police yet it feels like this podcast has this itself.

They talk a lot about Sue’s lies but I’m not sure what these were and how they actually defend this. Just heaps of waffle and I can’t get the clear key points.

The sound quality was also annoying as it used a lot of exerpts from a prison phone and that’s so hard to hear clearly.

Sue herself seems so evasive in the way she speaks this actually made me doubt her innocence more.

Also the way the two narrators interact in such a scripted way seems so old fashioned.

So yup this was a hate listen for me.

Very interesting

The first review I read in this was pretty negative. I for one found it gripping and engaging ! Very informative and keeps you coming back for more. Further more knowing it’s true and such an unfair miscarriage of justice has been put on sue. I investigated further and went on to sign and share the petition to free her from jail.
Just shows how people opinions can differ so much.
And how people with empathy can actually feel others pain while others just dismiss some others misfortune
