God wants you to meditate on the Word, because He knows that as you do, it’ll get into your spirit and become personal to you. It’ll become “rhema” to you, which is God’s specific Word to you, at a specific time, for a specific purpose. As you study or listen to God’s Word, there’s a stirring in your spirit to speak forth words on the basis of what you’re studying or being taught; don’t suppress it. Speak forth. That’s the “rhema-word” you need when it comes to spiritual battles. Fellowshipping with the Word has to do with your response to the Word.
