    Life can sometimes feel blurry.

    PAUSE

    We are pulled in so many different directions,

    It can make it difficult to pay attention to what truly matters.

    PAUSE

    When we reserve time for ourselves to unwind,

    to open up,

    and to breathe with intention, it provides us with a foundation of calm and clarity as we move through our day.

    LONG PAUSE

    Inhale in your clear intention for being here,

    and focus on your ability to breathe deeper,

    and deeper,

    bringing yourself into a clearer,

    and clearer, mental state. 

    PAUSE

    Allow your breath to take you into a space of mental serenity. 

    PAUSE

    Exhale loudly here, 

    letting all of the chaos from your life exit your body, 

    PAUSE 

    and your mind.

    LONG PAUSE

    Breathe here now, 

    And as the thoughts and emotions dissolve,

    Lean into the space of clarity that appears.

    LONG PAUSE
     
    Within this stillness,

    See if you can feel the vibrant energy of focus.

    The feeling of aliveness that comes when your mind zooms in on something.

    Let your eyelids float down and close.
    Softening your eyes and cheeks of rose.
    Ebbing the tension in your forehead and brows,
    and easing the muscles all around.
    LONG PAUSE
    Inhale deeply from the well of your soul,
    and then release the breath, letting it unfold
    before you, with a gentle call
    Pulling you into your deepest walls.
    LONG PAUSE
    As you breathe deeply, with tranquil grace
    Relaxation touches your body and face
    with long, smooth, and even breaths
    bathing you fully, so you can rest.
    LONG PAUSE
    You may notice that sometimes,
    Your thoughts are tight within your mind
    keeping it turned on 
    when you crave to unwind.
    LONG PAUSE
    Just breathe, and know that it’s okay,
    Let your thoughts loosen their grips and fade away.
    It’s all right. It’s all calm. 
    A peaceful rain will be your balm.
    PAUSE
    As you travel inward where it’s quiet,
    In a place that’s secret and private,
    imagine yourself on a beach
    with the tide flowing at your feet.
    PAUSE
    In the distance, clouds gather,
    Thunder purrs, and rain patters,
    A tense thought crosses your mind,
    then is carried away by the clouds in the sky.
    PAUSE
    And the thunder murmurs more,
    and the rain cascades in sheets.
    Now, it’s soothing to your soul
    and healing to your needs.
    PAUSE
    So, let your feet soak more in the sea’s lather
    Blue-green seafoam that tickles, then scatters.
    Feel the rain as it cleanses and moves within,
    And the thunder and your heartbeat make a connection.
    PAUSE
    And the rainshower and hushed thunder 
    move with intention to your center.
    Where they blanket it in serenity,  
    While the wind sways you, restfully.
    PAUSE
    To your mind, the storm now delicately alights,
    clearing stray thoughts and opening you to light,
    while your head unties more and more thoughts,
    that float away on rain clouds and, for now, are lost.
    PAUSE
    Imagine you are free to relax and to release,
    the rest of that tension that leaves you with peace.
    The rain and the thunder, the storm clouds, too,
    disappear as you sleep in the stillness of your room.
    PAUSE
    And you feel your mind calm and in a new dream dimension
    that’s free and sailing gently without any tension.
    Your body and soul are safe and warm.
    You created this peace with your magic thunderstorm.

    Feel the waves of relaxation soften you,

    From your head,

    Down to your shoulders, 

    Your chest, 

    Trickling down your back,

    Your legs,

    And through your feet. 

    PAUSE…

    Breathe and relax,

    Breathe and release. 

    See if you can feel them,

    The spaces of softness inside. 

    The tender surfaces that move and mold,

    As your fingers graze upon them.

    Some are bruises, 

    Here because of the blunt force of trauma or pain.

    PAUSE…

    Allow yourself to touch them with a healing hand for a little bit,

    Feeling the warmth cover them,

    Relieve them,

    And comfort them. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    Some of your spaces of softness,

    Are not hiding or wounded, 

    But simply parts of you that take backstage to the harder, 

    More forceful qualities that are often required to navigate the world. 

    PAUSE…

    Kindness and tenderness,

    Forgiveness and vulnerability.

    Love and compassion. 

    PAUSE…

    The part of you that rescues the bug from a shallow pool of water. 

    The part who sheds tears watching a movie. 

    The part of who hugs your child close when they’re hurting.

    The part who craves your lover’s beautiful embrace. 

    PAUSE…

    Breathe into these spaces now,

    Remembering, 

    Feeling,

    And giving life to them all. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    If your mind starts to wander, 

    Come back to the rhythm of your breathing, 

    And lean deeper into your softness. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    If emotions begin to rise, 

    Allow yourself to feel them all, 

    Riding their waves, 

    Feeling the water,

    And knowing the swells will calm. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    Imagine a blanket slowly wrapping around you. 

    Thick and warm and soft. 

    Feel it cover you,

    And remind you that you are whole.

    When the thoughts are screaming,
    And the world seems unsteady,
    When you feel like you’ll fall to your knees. 

    The voices are loud,
    The weight feels heavy,
    And your body is filled with unease.

    Take a deep breath,
    And follow it close,
    Imagine you’re riding a wave.

    All the way in,
    Then all the way out,
    Giving the peace that you crave.

    Slow your breath down,

    And slower.
    Relax your body,

    Now here in this stillness,
    Where time seems to pause,
    Imagine you’re surrounded by light.

    Blue hues of calm,
    Green rays that ground,
    And white glows gleaming real bright.

    Watch the light swirl,
    Then enter your body,
    As each inhale pulls it all in. 

    It cleanses and clears,
    It softens and flows,
    It leaves peace where chaos has been.

    Slow your breath down,
    Slower,
    And slower.
    Relax your body,
    Softer,
    And softer. 

    Breathe…

    Now with a clear mind,
    And with a full heart,
    You’re free to create thoughts that transform.

    Thoughts that expand you,
    Thoughts that excite you,
    And remind you of who you truly are.

    An expression of god,
    A manifestation of love,

    And feel a wave of peaceful relief wash over you

    Let out a clearing exhale,

    Allowing your body to release 

    And let go of any tension you’ve been holding.

    Breathe…

    And allow all of your fears to spill out

    Washing off of your body 

    And clearing out of your mind.

    Feel them running down you, 

    Like drops of rain falling, 

    Falling, 

    Falling down. 

    Until they drop from you,

    Land onto the ground,

    And absorb into the Earth.

    Let any doubt,

    Any worries,

    And anxieties,

    Fall to the ground,

    And sink into the Earth.

    You are light,

    You are free.

    It’s time to loosen your grip.

    To let go of control of that which is making your mind spin,

    So you can surrender to the deep sleep that is here.

    Into your body,

    And out of your head. 

    Away from the racing thoughts and storm clouds of worry,

    And into the slow, undulating waves of your breath.

    In and out.

    Cool and warm.

    Expanding and releasing.

    It’s all going to be okay.

    Here in this moment, you have no control over that which you desperately want.

    A specific outcome,

    Another person’s actions,

    Mother Nature.

    There is no amount of worrying or thinking that will change this moment.

    So surrender your desires to the stillness of the night,

    And trust in her and the wisdom of the universe.

    PAUSE…

    Inhale to touch the stillness, 

    Exhale to release control. 

    Breathe in,

    Breathe out.

    PAUSE…

    Unwind the tension in your body,

    Setting free all the tight parts so they can sink even further into your bed.

    PAUSE...

    Stress lives in the dark,

    Love is in the light. 

    So invite every cell in your body to shift from control to faith,

    From worry to hope,

    From dark to light.

    PAUSE…

    Be here in the light,

    Bathing in the soft yellow blankets of hope.

    Let them soothe you as you dream of possibilities, 

    And whisper your prayers to the Universe.

    And then let go,

    You have no more control right now.

    PAUSE…

    So feel your body melt further into your bed,

    And your mind hum with spaciousness.

    No more thinking.

    No more doing. 

    Just being, 

    One with love.

    One with trust.
