A Great New Scifi Show
With only a couple episodes, the show is still finding where it wants to go, but Athena is a teenage girl who has drive. The sci-fi world is unusual and interesting. Looking forward to seeing where this goes . . . or is that hearing?
It's fine.
As the title says, this is fine. Obviously an amateur effort, which isn't always bad, but in this case it seems to be so. While I get that some of these characters are supposed to be teenagers, I've heard audio dramas featuring teenage actors that are charismatic or at least likeable (and better written, as well). This is not one of them.
The episodes are thankfully fairly short, which I suppose is a bonus, and some of the sound design is well crafted. But I found myself skipping forward in each episode, waiting for something to happen, and the acting doesn't suit the more purple/fanciful writing, some of which I thought was quite nice. The occasionally inspired writing and sound design make it interesting at times, but I wouldn't recommend it.
A must listen!
