    Alli Webb

    Alli Webb

I met Alli Webb way back in 2012. She did my hair. I didn't even know that she was going to be the one doing it. But we struck up a friendship and we've kept in touch. And she is, of course, the founder of Dry Bar, which started the whole craze to go get your hair done at a salon. She said that it started because people wanted to go get their hair done a couple of times a week so they don't have to do it themselves. And, at the end of the day, it's just nice. And somebody plays with your hair at least. I like it. So it's a great, great way to have a little girls night out. Go get your hair done, a Dry Bar, and go out to dinner and grab some drinks. And at least that's how I use the experience. We had a great conversation about a lot about growing, growing as a human being and the trials and tribulations of life and what it throws at you. And just because someone is accomplishing really great things doesn't mean that they aren't struggling. We talked about the things that she's been going through and and where she's looking to expand as as a person and to grow stronger. But one thing's for sure, Dry Bar is going strong. One hundred and thirty locations and growing. I really enjoyed talking to Alli and having a very meaningful conversation.

    Kelly LeVeque

    Kelly LeVeque

The topic of food, health and wellness is definitely a favorite of mine, and today's guest, Kelly Levesque, is a pro at that. She's a holistic nutritionist and a celebrity health coach. Her clients are, oh, you know, people like Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Emmy Rossum. These very beautiful, healthy, perfect looking people. She tells them what to eat and how to take care of themselves from the inside. That makes them look good on the outside, too. She's an amazing woman. She's she's super positive. And I think that's what you'll come to in the end is realizing just how her positivity is really carried her through her life. She's walked her own path and filled a void in the in the field of being a nutritionist, writing books that weren’t there before, because she's really just walked her own path. Kelly has not been distracted by comparing herself to other people and what she should and shouldn't do and what works and hasn't worked for other people. She's just doing her own thing. She actually started out in the medical field and then being a nutritionist to people and helping folks was something she did as a “side hustle”. She was working through her lunch breaks on the weekends and eventually just got to the point where she could do it as a full time job. So let this be an inspiration to all of you out there that you can have a side hustle while you're doing your real job and eventually make it your full time job. So please enjoy the show from this very inspirational woman.

Rodgers interview

I was really disappointed to hear her comment about how people can eat out (where all food is loaded with sugar, butter, and salt) but that you will end up “fat” and unhealthy. That is a very judgmental and generalized statement. I liked how Aaron commented, “well unhealthy for sure”. I understand Danica is very focused on her eating clean and working out lifestyle but her “fat” comment was unnecessary. Not a fan after listening to this podcast.
