The Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell removal.

The House committees. Last week, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) formally removed Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) from the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (commonly known as the House Intelligence Committee). McCarthy announced the move after House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) penned a letter pressing him to allow Schiff, the top Democrat on the panel, to keep his seat. McCarthy has also pledged to move Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from her seat on House Foreign Affairs. Plus, a question about the spate of tech layoffs.

    Ukraine gets its tanks.

    Ukraine gets its tanks.

On Wednesday, after weeks of deliberation, the German government said it would send 14 of its modern Leopard 2 main battle tanks to Ukraine, and would also allow other countries to send German-made tanks to Ukraine. Hours later, the White House formally announced it was sending 31 M1 Abrams tanks, signifying a coordinated effort with European nations. Plus, a question about the sex crime allegations against Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and an update on the southern border.

Big Fan

I love Tangle, both the newsletter and podcast. It presents views from both sides (left and right) of a story and then provides its own take/opinion on the story. It is a breath of fresh air compared to most other news sources.

YankiJ ,

Meh

Interesting to hear both sides of the arguments on different topics but the author’s “my take” and overall opinion are definitely right - maybe center right but hard to believe it’s a fair assessment when his opinions and persona are more right and agrees with all the conservatives.

Collin Linton ,

Tangled is great!

Quick, informative, balanced, and honest. Everything you don’t get from most political media sources.
