This episode will center around the bizarre pseudoscience known as bloodletting. Bloodletting has a fascinating history and a reveals the power of tradition and placebo. This episode we will be exploring the practices of footbinding.  We will discuss the conception of this practice as well as its fall into the realm of the taboo. We will examine the cultural beliefs of China and the various reasons why one would deform their body.
