Air Hares is a graphic novel & PC game about the intrepid hare Captain Rabbo Sunskipper and her crew, who take to the skies in retrofitted remote control airplanes to seed the carrot crop and defend all the creatures of Winrose from the dastardly owl Twin Horn and his gang of avian thugs. Creators Tim Bungeroth & Megan Bungeroth take you behind the scenes of their independent project to share the origin story of Air Hares, the creative vision, and how it will come to life. Hold on Tight is a podcast about what happens when the world tells you no, and you do it anyway.

2. Who are the Air Hares?
Co-creators Tim and Megan Bungeroth introduce the characters of Winrose and talk about how they came to life in relation to one another. Along with Captain Rabbo, they cover the rest of the Air Hares: Linnie Lightfoote, a wild hare; Betty Bunting, a lop rabbit; Candy Clayton, a chinchilla; and Dirk Doggo, a Cairn terrier-chihuahua mix.
Tim and Megan also delve into the villainous Gale Gang: High Top the peregrine falcon; Big Red the red falcon; Gold Grip the harpy eagle; and the leader, Twin Horn the owl.
In this episode, you'll learn how all the characters of Air Hares grew from the game design into fully-fledged personalities, influenced by Tim's love of classic video games, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman the Animated Series and Luke Skywalker. Plus, hear directly from Arthur Bungeroth, who has a lot to add to the episode.

1. The Birth of Captain Rabbo
Co-creators Tim and Megan Bungeroth explore the origin story of Air Hares and how Captain Rabbo was brought to life, first at the helm of an unbeatable Y-wing starship, and eventually as the central character of a PC video game, a graphic novel series and a whole new imagined world of Winrose.
Tim, writer and executive producer, explains how Air Hares arose from a period in his artistic life when everyone seemed to be saying "no," and how that coincided with Tim and Megan's journey through infertility, which ultimately informed the story of Captain Rabbo and her crew.
