She began her career in the restaurant industry where she developed a love for hospitality before continuing to become extremely successful in the event planning and strategy industry. She was also Hailey and Megan's professor for Intro to Events in the fall of 2020 and continues to be a professor here at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Laurel O'Malley is the head basketball coach for the CWC Lady Renegades, and Megan's aunt. She started her career as a player with the Sutton Fillies where they won a state championship with an undefeated season, putting them in the Nebraska High School Hall of Fame. With many accolades, Laurel went on to have a very successful career as an athlete at Doane. She is now at CWC where she has recorded her 200th win as a coach and has coached the team to several state tournament runs with a third place finish in 2020, multiple conference and district championships. All while being a teacher and a mom. How does she do it while leaving a lasting impact and the ladies she coaches? Find out in this episode.
