History of English

I just love this podcast. I thought I knew a lot about the etymology of the English language, but since listening to this podcast I realise how little I knew, particularly about the Norse influence. The podcast also gives a really good summary of English history and the effect it had on the development of the language. I wish this had been available when I went to University as it would have greatly influenced my studies and my dissertation.

Words cannot describe how much I am enjoying this podcast. The detail that Kevin injects into each episode is just amazing and there are gems of knowledge about the language that is interwoven with history that make each episode such a delight to listen to. Brilliant!
