    Telemachus and Odysseus Reunite!

    Telemachus and Odysseus Reunite!

    Here is the script!:

    *eating sound*

    *smooth sound*

Eumaeus: how do you like breakfast?

    Odysseus: it’s tolerable

Eumaeus: You know for someone who can not afford bread you are rude.

Odysseus: is that a bow and arrow?

Narrarator: Our epic hero, Odysseus, eats at the humble abode of Eumaeus the swineherd on this beautiful morning. The sun is out and bright, and no spoilers but something good and wonderful is about to occur.

Narrator: Son of Odysseus, Telemachus, has arrived in the dwelling of Eumaeus while he and Odysseus were having breakfast. Athena appears from the air she walked, taking the form of a tall woman, handsome and clever at her craft, and stood beyond the gate in plain sight of Odysseus unseen.

Telemachus: *door creeks* Good day swineherd, who is this beggar who eats with you? He smells like he hasn’t showered in weeks.

Athena: Son of Laertes, it is now time to reveal yourself to your son, Telemachus who lacks manners, and tell him how both of you will destroy the suitors who wish to kill him off, as I myself desire warfare.

Narrator: With all that being said, and a little eye roll from athena,

*fairy dust* Athena transformed Odysseus into a man with the freshest tunic surrounding him, and giving him youth, making his son shocked and perplexed, yet fearful, but more of perplexed.

Telemachus: Stranger! You are no longer what you were just now! Everything is new, meaning you are one of the gods! Please have mercy on our souls”

Odysseus: I am of no god, rather the father that you did not get to bond with your whole childhood because I was abroad.

Narrator: *weeping sounds*  Tears flooded down Odysseus’s cheeks as he went to hug his son after 20 years. However, Telemachus did not believe this and raged at Odysseus. Odysseus calmed he down.

Odysseus: “This is not princely, to be swept away by wonder at your father’s presence. No other Odysseus will ever come, for he and I are one, the same; his bitter fortune and his wanderings are mines. Twenty years have gone, and I am back again on my own island.

Narrarator: Telemachus in disbelief began to weep, and threw his hands around his father. After many years of waiting for his father’s return, he has to embrace him. Both of them weeped tears of joy, and sadness. Telemachus then proceeds to ask:

Telemachus: Oh father, do tell how you journeyed back to Ithaca. I assure you did not make it here alone.

Narrarator: *talking noises* Odysseus then proceeds to tell the story of the Phaceains and how Athena helped him find his way

Telemachus: Oh father all my life I have heard stories of your fights, and how much of a man you are, and how thoughtful you were. I dreamed of how to find you so the suitors won’t have all the riches you used to possess.

Narrator: Odysseus then proceeds to tell his son about his journey, what he learnt, and everything in detail.

Odysseus: Now one thing more. If son of mine you are and blood of mine, let no one hear Odysseus is about. Neither Laertes, nor the swineherd here, nor any slave, nor even Penelope.

But you and I alone must learn how far the women are corrupted; we should know how to locate good men among our hands, the loyal and respectful, and the shirkers who take you lightly, as alone and young.”

Telemachus: yes father, but there is no need for big words.
