Marriage, Family Law, and the Temple
Elder Hafen shared insights correlating United States constitutional and family law judicial decisions over the past half century with devaluing the historical concept of marriage at the 2014 J. Reuben Clark Law Society Annual Fireside. Elder Hafen emphasized that building a marriage is challenging and demanding but also sanctifying and satisfying. Through a lifetime of sacrificing for our marriage partner, we can become like Jesus Christ and realize "the abundant life of authentic joy".
