Exciting news! Not Gonna Lie Podcast has officially joined The Bridge Asia, an academic consultancy where we help students in their university admission process. In this episode, we had a great conversation with the founder of the consultancy and chatted a bit about some of the real challenges current students will face as they are preparing for their next step in higher education. 

In this episode we had a conversation with Ms Grasheli, Fashion Designer and Lecturer from Binus University Alam Sutera. It was refreshing to hear that students are able to settle into the university routines and demand quite seamlessly and that there seems to be effort made by some schools in Jakarta to support and develop creative programs instead of just the more mainstream of academics. This was a good conversation as it challenges my own perspective that schools are still adamant to push for more science based subject achievements rather than exploring more options as from what I know, students who were more creatively inclined felt suffocated as there were no room for them to grow. 

Our first episode in 2022 and here we discuss about the various myth around students with learning disabilities to which we say it's not a disability, it's just a different need that we should learn to cater. 

It's important for us at NGL to have a conversation about one topic with as many people that can share different viewpoint from where they stand. In this episode we had a conversation with a parent and her view of education for her children. Trends are shifting and soon we will have new job descriptions that the old ones will not fit anymore. So, what's the most important thing then? 

In this episode, we had a great conversation with a university lecturer who has taught in several universities, a mom of three children and a prominent figure in the art and design world of Indonesia, Tasya Made Nuarta. Our conversation covers a range of school system to the life skills that students need in real life as they embark on their journey to be part of their working society. In the end, we realized that the journey of Indonesia's education, and education in general is still a long and hard road indeed. Take a listen and we do hope you can come up with your own thought about education. 

In this episode, I had a very interesting conversation regarding the journey of someone who were struggling in high school, not knowing what this person would like to do in life, only to find herself thriving in university and was able to decide quite early that her career now is the career she would like to pursue. It's an incredible message for those who are also struggling to reach the academic mount A because ultimately, life has so much more to live for than just the grades student can achieve.
