Rich and Yack dove right into the trials and tribulations of the Washington Nationals, and what exactly it means that they’re only 1 game over 500 through 51 games. Yack also thinks Bob Carpenter should check himself before going on a top rated DC morning sports show, and basically throwing all Nats fans under the bus. Carpenter’s comments on the Junkies, allowed for twitter and 1067 The Fan’s spin doctor of a PD- Slacks KiNERD, to allow his boy Chad Dukes to continue the ignorant argument. Dukes spent an hour advocating that lifelong Orioles fans, who live in DC and Virginia, should jump ship and become Nats fans now. OK…

Bill Ladson (@washingnats) joined the program, to continue the conversation on the Nats woes. His insight is always appreciated on our show. The fellas then touched on RG3’s press conference from last week, and how the guy is simply a superstar when it comes to handling the media, and answering the multitude of questions that are thrown at him.

Everyone’s favorite segment, Rich’s Stories, closed out the show. As always, thanks for listening!

Rich and Yack discussed RG3’s wedding registry, and Yack didn’t know that once a gift was purchased, it couldn’t be purchased again. Yack still would rather see less RG3 between now and September. #JustWinBaby. Corey Borner joined the program. He was paralyzed from the waist down in a high school scrimmage back in 2009. He told his inspirational story of how he has progressed, and how he expects to walk again one day.

The Nats were discussed. Yack is not going to panic “until the 3rd week of July, if they’re still playing .500 ball and 6-7 games behind the Braves.”  Yack also reiterated his disgust for Drew Storen and Danny Espinosa. Rich’s Stories, everyone’s favorite segment, closed out the program as usual. Thanks for listening!

Yack and Rich discussed the early exiters known as the Washington Capitals, who (again) were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round.  They then discussed the “Mount Rushmore” of Redskins argument, which started as a twitter argument between Yack and the Burgundy Blog.

Chris Johnson (Ceej) called in to discuss the before mentioned “Mount Rushmore” topic, as well as the Capitals early exit, and the Tiger/Sergio controversy at Sawgrass. The show concluded with everyone’s favorite segment, Rich’s Stories.  As always, thanks for listening!

The boys discussed Yack’s weekend in York, Pa- the annual Billyman trip, in which him and 39 of his closest buddies golf, booze, and gamble for 3 days. A show name change was then discussed, but as has been the case over the last 6 months, no new name was put in stone.

The Redskins’ rookies put on a “show” for all the media this week, and Rich Turpin is already all in with wanting to buy a Baccari Rambo jersey. Yack told Rich to pump the brakes, as this was simply a dog and pony show featuring a few guys who might make the team versus a bunch of guys who have no chance of doing so. The DC Sports teams were discussed, as Turpin and Yack think that relative to the success of the Nats, Caps, and Redskins over the last year, DC has the best overall teams in the major sports.

Rich’s Stories led off with the Cleveland kidnapping story, and how much of a horror show it is. The fellas focused on how funny the interview hero Charles Ramsey gave. Rich ended up telling a story about the time he turned in a criminal that was staying in a hotel he was working in, and then Fairfax County didn’t pay up the $10,000 reward they were offering.

    As always, Thanks for listening!

Yack and Rich wrapped up the NFL Draft with Rotoworld’s Evan Silva @evansilva, and although Evan gave the Redskins good marks, he was really impressed with what the Giants managed to do. The boys then talked about Jason Collins’ coming out, and they agreed that unless Collins is on an NBA roster next season, this won’t be as big of a story.

Yack then sounded off on all the Tim Tebow hate, and how media/society would’ve treated him if he wasn’t the unassuming whitey, bible thumper. Send all complaints and comments to @sportsyack. They then commented on People Magazine’s Most Beautiful people, and concluded with everyone’s favorite segment, Rich’s Stories. As always, thanks for listening!

The boys led off talking about the Big Train Celebrity Softball Game. Rich Turpin is already lobbying to get on next year’s media roster, and did so extensively when Rocky Parrish called in (media team manager). Rocky was a great interview, talking about the process of putting the team together, and of course his “taking out” of former Redskins and NFL punter Derrick Frost.

The fellas talked about the struggling Nats, and Yack claims he’s not going to worry about this team, unless they’re playing this poorly come June 1st. They then closed the show with everyone’s favorite segment, Rich’s Stories. Thanks again for listening.
