今回のポッドキャストはハワイでピアニストとして活躍する川淵かおりさんがゲスト。初のクリスマスアルバムをリリースしたばかりで、このアルバムには「You left me before Christmas」という、自分が人生のどん底にいたときに書いたという曲も収録されています。
彼女のどん底時代とは、アルコール依存症、精神分裂症、Bipolar disorderだった男性とかおりさんがお付き合いをしていて、D Vの被害を受け強烈な孤独を感じていた時とのことなんですが、なぜか彼女はその後に結婚した夫もアルコール依存など様々な問題のある人との関係を繰り返してしまいます。
セラピーに通い、自分の「共依存」に気づき、やっと自分を大切にすることができるようになった彼女。そして何よりその彼女を支えてきたのは大好きなピアノの存在でした。今回は彼女の壮絶な人生について、そして共依存についてたっぷりお話を伺います。
Have you ever loved anyone with an addiction or mental issues? On this episode of my podcast, I’ll be talking to Kaori Kawabuchi, a piano player who just released her first piano X'mas album. There is this one original song called "You left me before Xmas", which she wrote when she was in an abusive relationship with an addict and other serious mental issues. She gets trapped into this type of relationship one after another. Finally through therapy, she finds out about codependency and learned to love herself. And piano plays such an important part of her journey.
