In honor of ANNA’s 50th anniversary, the Nephrology Nursing Journal began an oral history of ANNA, nephrology nursing, and the care of patients with kidney disease, interviewing past presidents of ANNA and other nephrology nurse leaders. These priceless recordings shine light on our rich history, the challenges our specialty practice has faced, and the advances we’ve made over the last 50 years.

This series will also be of interest to nurses in many other specialties. While our focus is on nephrology, these interviews provide a time capsule of what nursing was like as a profession from the 1960s to the present and of how a specialty organization can influence the lives of patients and nurses.

We hope you enjoy these invaluable and enlightening nephrology nursing recollections.

ANNA's 50th Anniversary Podcast Series is brought to you by the Nephrology Nursing Journal.

The first group of episodes was released during ANNA's National Symposium, April 14-17, 2019, in Dallas, TX. Future episodes will be produced throughout the year to continue ANNA's 50th anniversary celebration.
