Like I said. Feelings suck - especially hurt.

It's easy to put the blame on others for not being able to understand you, especially your parents; it's not their fault. The older you get, the more you realise why that is and the main reason is the generation gap and the way they have paved a easier lifestyle for you. All you can do is simply stand by them, thank them and think about how you would do things differently. After all, you learn from your own experiences as well as others'.

A little more love; a little less pain.

Sometimes in life, you need to stop pushing yourself to reach other people's goals and set your own. Something I wish somebody had told my younger self. :)
