Climate change is an emergency concern yet, many people including policy makers remain skeptical of this phenomenon. Central to this problem is the issue of energy. The use of fossil fuels is a leading cause of climate change however, many economies in the world are still dependent on such energy sources. This has made the switch to cleaner and renewable energy sources a major dilemma in the policy discourse. In todays episode we will be discussing the role of youth in in accelerating the energy transition thus reach 1.5°C climate goals. Our guest Nyashadzashe Kunaka from Zimbabwe talks about students Energy and THE GLOBAL YOUTH ENERGY OUTLOOK an ambitious new youth-led initiative that aims to build the first global dataset of youth perspectives on the energy transition.
