The Passing On of the British Monarchy
2022 was a momentous year for many reasons - not least because, on Thursday 8th September, the announcement came that Queen Elizabeth II, our Lord of Mann, had died at her Balmoral home.
The Queen visited our little island five times, and presided over the open-air sittings of Tynwald on Tynwald Day twice, most notably in 1979, its millennium year.
