Philip Ross discusses the latest issue and what Labour the government should do.

Hertfordshire is a mix of both rural and urban areas. This week I was able to attend a virtual barn meeting and listened to the Chief Constable, his rural crime team explain the issues that they are facing. There were some good questions and many good issues raised by those also in attendance.

We need to keep people and businesses safe on-line, in their homes and on the streets. 

Cyber crime accounts for 34% of all reported crime. This pod cast looks at the issues around cyber crime and what we will do in Hertfordshire.

The government is assessing the impact of a "technical issue" that led to 150,000 records being deleted from police databases.

The error saw data including fingerprint, DNA and arrest histories wiped after being accidentally flagged for deletion.

The Home Office said the lost entries related to people who were arrested and then released without further action.
