Raising Water podcast Jaap Evers

In 2022 Bangladesh and The Netherlands celebrate 50 years of friendship. This friendship and cooperation is very much based around our relation with water.
The Raising Water podcast aims to raise our attention to the stories of the people involved in this friendship. In every episode we invite a Bangladeshi and a Dutch water expert to share their water stories, together we raise our water knowledge.

In this prologue of the Raising Water podcast, the Dutch Special Envoy for International Water Management Henk Ovink and the senior Expert and Environmentalist from Bangladesh Aishun Nishat look back with a critical and open view on fifty years of bilateral cooperation on water management. The problems they both face in their country: floods that alternate with extreme droughts, for example. Clean water for everyone.
