We hear a lot these days about how polarized we are as a nation but it feels different in Havre de Grace, where neighbors still talk with each other even if they have different political signs in their front yards, and people seem united in their love for the town and in wanting to connect as a community.

Beckie moved to Maryland to be with her husband in February and her mother came for what was supposed to be a 3-week visit in the beginning of March. What is it like to shelter in place in a foreign land? Speaking with Beckie and Kate made it clear to me that we're all in this together, we're all neighbors, even if we are divided by oceans and cultures!
