The Atlanta Falcons had a very strange offseason and now it comes with a significant penalty
-The Falcons signed Kirk Cousins to a massive 4-year, $180 million contract ($100 million guaranteed) at the start of free agency, and after further review, the NFL punished the team with a $250,000 fine and a loss of their 2025 5th round draft pick
-This is the same team---already with Kirk Cousins on the roster---that drafted Michael Penix, Jr. in the first round
