    13: Intimacy Direction ft. Tara Nicole Williams

    Ares, Josh, and Michael are joined by Intimacy and Fight director Tara Nicole Williams to learn about this relatively new and important role in the theatre industry. 

    Tara Nicole Williams is an actor, educator, and combat artist residing in Raleigh, NC. She has trained with the Society of American Fight Directors for the last 12 years, specializing in German Longsword and high fantasy choreography. She has also facilitated the introduction of intimacy direction in NC; organizing workshops and special events with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators.

    Along with her own training, she manages the Stage Combat Academy of North Carolina, an organization promoting access to fight and intimacy training for artists at every level. Tara also teaches stage combat, acting, and movement with universities, schools, and organizations around the country. Her work focuses on empowering actors to own their unique physicality - using movement to tell intricate stories.
