    Episode 12: Karens suck

    Episode 12: Karens suck

A little rethink on white women who don't see color. Taking a wider view of how misogyny and white supremacy have been coded into Christian values for so long, we see that these systems are reinforced, not by the top of the pyramid, but by the fear and pain perpetuated by those almost at the top. Recommendations include 2016 Netflix original "13th" directed by Ava DuVernay and Jane Elliott's work in the Blue Eyes/Brown Eyes experiment. PBS Link. Also recommended "(Dis)Honesty" a 2015 Netflix film about Dan Arlely's lifes work on human behaviour and irrationality.

    Episode 8: Capitalism sucks hard

This episode covers a wide range of topics in an attempt to lay out the misinformation that allows our society to keep perpetuating the idea of credit over humanity. As per usual the conversation rarely sticks to one topic for very long and only occasionally gets back to the point.

Episode 7: Inexpert ideas on identity

Episode 7: Inexpert ideas on identity

In this episode Kim shares what little she knows about gender identity, gender expression and societal norms that cause so much pain. After broaching that incredibly fraught topic, Kim decides to speak even less expertly in ideas of race, colonialism, compares Eugenicists to pug dogs and other such nonsense that will, no doubt, get her into trouble.
