Unsubscribing From Society's Timeline: How To Make The Most Of Your Life Now w/ Paris

Paris is a military brat, daughter, sister, and friend. I met Paris in middle school, where we played on the same basketball team, the “Green Machine” and lived at church. And she quickly became my sister from another mister and misses. We have a conversation about the timeline society, and we set for ourselves. A timeline that Paris has recently realized that it is time to unsubscribe from in order to live the life she is called to and making the most of it. Paris also shares the experience she had with bodybuilding and the struggles she went through to feel like her body was hers again. This is her story as a Dandelion.

    In this episode I discuss:

How society’s and her timeline have affected her life
Why she is unsubscribing to society’s and the timeline she set for herself
How she went from a fashion designer to a mental health counselor
    The dark sides of bodybuilding

A Gap Year Of Healing: How To Find Hope In Loss w/ Connor

A Gap Year Of Healing: How To Find Hope In Loss w/ Connor

Connor is a military brat, son, brother, and friend. Connor and I met in high school, and we have been best friends for 12 years now. During our senior year, Connor lost his sister. When we graduated, he decided to take some time away from school and do missionary work. The experience helped him initiate the healing process from his sisters death and other traumas that he had been holding on to from his past. He now works to be more intentional with the people he loves and the time that he gets to spend with them. The missionary work also ignited a purpose in him that he is looking to continue to pursue for the rest of his life. This is his dandelion story.

    In this episode, I discuss:
    * Why did he choose to take a gap year
    * How the gap year helped him explore new cultures and opportunities
    * How he continues to seek healing and growth in his life
    * The purpose that God gave him to do

Independent & Thriving: Stepping Into Womanhood w/ Isolde

Independent & Thriving: Stepping Into Womanhood w/ Isolde

Isolde is a military brat, daughter, sister, and friend. I met Isolde in middle school, and I have to admit I may not have been the best influence or role model when we were kids. So to get to reconnect with her now was a chance for us to laugh at the stupid things we did as kids and realize that we all do stupid things, but stupid things do not define us. We have a conversation about social anxiety and the hold it had on us a point in our lives that we were meant to be thriving. She also shares the differences that she has experienced between the Norwegian and American culture and how it has shaped her to be the woman she is today. This is her Dandelion story.

    In this episode, we discuss:

How has social anxiety impacted her life
The stupid things we did in middle school
The difference between Norwegian and American culture
How she ended up in Belgium three times as a military brat

Today, he talks about the long road it took for him to realize that the path written for him by his parents was not the path that he was meant to take. Even though the path for him was not easy for his family or him, he has never been happier, and his family is very proud of the life and career he is building for himself today. This is his story as a Dandelion.
