Episode 8 | Find Your F.L.Y. with the host Tunja L. Morton, Ed.S, NBCT

Episode 8 | Find Your F.L.Y. with the host Tunja L. Morton, Ed.S, NBCT

    There’s a YOU – you haven’t met yet – a version of YOU that lives F.L.Y.

When you are living F.L.Y. – you:

    -  Prioritize your own mental, emotional, social and physical care

    -  Become your own best friend and your number one fan

    -  Stand by your own side as your biggest cheerleader

Living F.L.Y. means you are Fully Loving You – staying true to who you are and who you could become.  Staying true to YOU happens when you decide what the best version of YOU looks like and how you want to show up in the world every day.

Living F.L.Y. is living (not by accident) but living with intention a life that you are proud to call your own – a life that feels like you, favors you, fits you – a life you are truly fond of.

In this episode, Tunja goes solo and offers encouragement on how to live as your authentic self, find your F.L.Y. and create a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside.

A life that feels as good as it looks is a life you’re proud of – a life that makes progress – steadily moving you in the direction of the best version of YOU.

Living F.L.Y. is not living a life free of challenges.

Real-life comes with inconveniences, interruptions and irritations.

But when you are Living F.L.Y. – even in the midst of the difficult seasons of life – you unsubscribe from what is unnecessary and give your time, energy and attention to what matters most.

Your focus (when living F.L.Y.) is always on who are you becoming.

Episode 7 | What About Your Friends? with Paulette Edwards

Episode 7 | What About Your Friends? with Paulette Edwards

In 1992 the girl group, TLC, performed the hit song What About Your Friends.

As a 23-year-old young adult woman at the time that song was a hit, I remember distinctly being inspired by the lyrics to really get clear on the kind of friends I wanted in my life and the kind of friend I was going to be.

It was at that point my journey began – the journey to authentic friendship.

    It matters who you marry.

It matters who you establish friendship with.

It matters who you are connected to on all levels of relationship.

A relationship can either make or break your destiny.

In this episode, Tunja engages in a conversation with her childhood friend, Paulette, to discuss the authenticity required in a relationship.  After sharing decades of mutual friendship, these two women agree that when you get around the right people, you feel like you are on a vacation.  Being connected to the right people - people who are emotionally healthy and mature - improves your mental and emotional wellbeing.

A thriving, destiny-making relationship is self-care for the soul.

Episode 6 | Necessary Endings with Meredith Newlin

Episode 6 | Necessary Endings with Meredith Newlin

In the words of Dr. Henry Cloud, getting to the next level always requires ending something, leaving it behind and moving on.

    Cloud calls these Necessary Endings.

In episode 6, Tunja engages in a conversation with Meredith Newlin – a Denver CO based high school teacher – as she shares her personal experiences with letting go, moving on, and how brave you become when you learn to say goodbye.

What are the 'signs of the times' that it is time to move on?

What does self-care look like in seasons of loss and growth?

Both Tunja and Meredith are well-aware of the grief associated with loss, growth and change.

Therefore, listeners can expect their approach to this discussion to be gentle and filled with compassion and support on a mental, physical and emotional level.

Episode 5 | The Winner's Circle with Dr. Miskia Davis

Episode 5 | The Winner's Circle with Dr. Miskia Davis

I believe that regardless of the area we want to win in – mindset is everything.

Before we plan, prepare and proceed – we must believe winning will be our reality. So just like winning is a personal decision, I believe we must each have our own personal definition of what winning looks like for us.

In episode 5, Tunja sits down in a candid conversation with Dr. Miskia Davis to discuss the importance of defining winning for yourself and what it takes to get the win – once you believe you can. Yes, winners stay close to their values – and Yes, winners stay true to their visions. But most importantly, winners stay focused on becoming the best version of themselves from the inside out.

Episode 4 | Need Rest? Choose Joy with Elise Blaha Cripe

Episode 4 | Need Rest? Choose Joy with Elise Blaha Cripe

In 2014 - I was that woman.  I had a hyperactive mind that was always thinking and I had no idea how to shut it off.  I knew what it meant to get some sleep but I did not have a clue what it meant to relax (daily) and get some real rest.

In 2017 - after learning what real self-care looked and felt like - then making it a daily practice - I soon learned that rest = joy.  I know what brings me joy and I consider my joy list an invitation – an invitation that I willingly accept daily.

In 2021 (and beyond) - Choosing JOY = Choosing ME

In episode 4, Tunja sits down with Elise Cripe to discuss how to remove unwanted inner stress, frustration and overwhelm from your life by making joy a habit.  Joy is not something you have to wait until after work or until the weekend to experience.  Tunja and Elise will guide you into an exploration of your own joy and show you how to give your joy a voice.

When your joy speaks, your life will listen.
