    4 Questions To Kickstart Your Day With Momentum And Flow

    Have you ever noticed how some weeks you’re in a flow state, effortlessly getting things done, while other weeks your mind is constantly task-switching like a clown with too many balls in the air?

    As a coach, I'm passionate about helping people be intentional about where they put their energy and attention each day, week, and beyond. Personally, I've noticed a big difference when I don’t do my planning!

    In my Hatchery membership—a program for learning, growth, and connection—we often hold weekly and monthly primer sessions to set ourselves up for success and to live with intention.

    Starting your day or week with momentum can set the tone for a productive and fulfilling time ahead. Here are some strategies to help you achieve that sense of flow and purpose:

    Identify Something Important but Not Urgent: Ask yourself, "What is something important but not urgent that I could do today?"

    Focus on Your Top 3 Priorities: "What are the top 3 things you want to achieve today?"

    Practice Daily Gratitude: Reflect on, "What am I grateful for today?"

    Create White Space: Consider, "How can I create white space in my day?"

    By identifying important but not urgent tasks, focusing on top priorities, practicing daily gratitude, and creating white space, you can start your day or week with a strong sense of momentum and flow. These practices help create a balanced, fulfilling life and keep you moving steadily toward your bigger goals.

    Theodore Roosevelt said, “Comparison is the theft of joy.” This is concerning, considering most of us spend hours scrolling and comparing our lives with the lives of others online, often unconsciously.

    How much joy is getting stolen?

    Without realising it, comparison imprints and leaves us with thoughts such as:
    ‘I’m am I not where I should be’
    ‘Why am I not where they are’
    ‘I’m not achieving enough’

    In the coaching/therapy space that I work in, self-awareness is often heralded to be the key to personal growth and fulfilment.

    Self-awareness researcher Tasha Eurich discovered that 95% of people believe they are self-aware, however, only 12–15% possess both high internal and external self-awareness (I spoke about Tasha Eurich’s archetypes previously).

    Eurich’s research suggests that there’s a profound opportunity within each of us to deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. I believe self-awareness is the most powerful practice we can embody to discover true emotional freedom and deeper connections.
    Imagine for a moment that every external trigger, every challenge and every uncomfortable conversation could serve as a stepping stone towards greater self-awareness.
