Painting The Picture Of A Type C
It was such an honor to sit down with Eric Aho who is one of the nation's top artists working today. Always fresh and vibrant, his paintings evoke familiarity with a heightened sense of atmosphere. Aho studied at the Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London, England and received a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. The Reluctant Healer
The Reluctant Healer written by Andrew Himmel has won multiple awards and is one of my favorite stories relating to the transition from a Type A to a Type C personality. Sometimes I can relate too much to the main character.
The story tells of a young attorney who is torn between mounting evidence that he has the spiritual ability to heal others and his life-long skepticism of alternative views. It paints a portrait of a reasonable man who traces a path between skepticism and belief.
An intriguing discussion about how Andrew came about this transformation in his own life as a 35-year veteran attorney and what that journey looked like for him, what inspired him to write, and how his creative process worked.
