Special guest TJ Birkel of the Common Fan podcast joined Connor and Mitch to discuss a new series, entitled "The Reckoning," that looks at what might have happened at Nebraska over the past quarter century if something different had transpired with each of the coaching tenures. Birkel and his co-hosts began by dissecting the Frank Solich era. What if Solich had never been fired by then-AD Steve Pederson. The series will continue next week with a look at the Bill Callahan era as Mitch joined the Common Fan pod. We go behind the scenes with TJ.

Nebraska got its man at quarterback, Jalyn Gramstad, out of the NAIA ranks. Just how much of a hit is this for the Huskers -- and what do we expect Gramstad to add to an inexperienced QB group in Lincoln? Connor encountered Trev Alberts at the College World Series? Remember him. We discuss Alberts' situation at Texas A&M as the Aggies attempt this weekend to win their first national championship in a major men's team sport in more than 80 years. We're back to discuss the Friday Night Lights camp at Nebraska, which featured Dayton Raiola, the brother of Nebraska's heir apparent to start at quarterback. All of the Raiolas were in the house of Friday. What does it mean for the Huskers' QB future? Also, Connor experienced a long weekend at the College World Series and got a close-up view of some Aggies -- not named Trev Alberts -- who are no longer welcomed in Omaha. The first big recruiting weekend of June is upon us in Lincoln. Four-star prospects from inside and outside the state of Nebraska are expected on campus for official visits. What's more essential in building this Class of 2025 -- locking down the borders or snagging elite talent from faraway spots? We discuss. Also, Mitch participated in cooking demo this week at the new Osborne Complex in order to better understand the experience of a visiting recruit. We talk about his Teriyaki Shrimp dish. This is the week of summer -- finally -- that brought us the opportunity to talk again about the Nebraska quarterbacks. So we're spending an entire episode on it. Monday in Lincoln at the Huskers' post-graduate camp, two QBs showed up, somewhat unannounced, to work out with Glenn Thomas and the Nebraska coaching staff. Jalyn Gramstad, the reigning NAIA player of the year, and juco product Bryce Conover both impressed the Huskers enough to get private, post-camp invitations into the building. Will Nebraska offer a spot to one of them -- and what would it mean for Dylan Raiola, Heinrich Haarberg and Danny Kaelin if another QB enters the picture before August?
